I managed to get out to do some field recording. I bought a hydrophone for recording under water and in other substances, but the results haven’t been too good yet. I need to experiment more.
But my venture out into the wilds of Norfolk wasn’t without some success. Here’s a field recording done at Upton Broad.
It was fairly quiet there. Most of the migrants seem to have departed and most of what you can hear is the reed bed with some birdsong (unidentified).
The recording ends as an approaching helicopter fills the air with a rumble.
